Our Mission
Libya in the UK (LYUK) is a charity led by the Libyan youth living in the diaspora. We seek to be a hub for Libyans in the UK and to foster a shared sense of community. We provide a platform for networking and knowledge sharing for all Libyans and implement initiatives to advance Libyan art, culture, young talent and entrepreneurship. Ultimately, LYUK aims to build a vibrant and diverse Libyan community in the UK.
Our Programmes
Arts & Culture
Our Arts & Culture Programme aims to preserve, celebrate, and raise awareness of, Libyan art and culture by using different forms of expression, including visual and literary, as well as celebrating Libyan customs, practices and traditions. The Programme aims to promote and rebrand Libyan art and culture in the UK through awareness-raising and outreach activities.
Professionals Network
Our Libyan Professionals Network (LYPN) provides Libyan professionals with a platform to connect and collaborate. The LYPN aims to connect Libyan professionals in the UK to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing as well as foster entrepreneurship among Libyans in the UK with a particular focus on young entrepreneurs.
Community Hub
Our Community Hub focuses on outreach and capacity building for the Libyan community in the UK. We develop and tailor specific trainings, events and services to benefit the needs of the Libyan community. We bring together Libyans from all walks of life in a welcoming and inclusive environment to celebrate the diversity of the Libyan community.
